Hany is a Coptic writer and blogger who works as a social worker in his town of AL-AELA in the center of Naja Hamadi .
Hani a writer and blogger who’s always polite and objective in his writings and respectable to others feelings, his writings are on the internet and Coptic sites .
Hany is a Copt who loves his country and his people and wants justice and equality for all Egyptians, he is one of the hundreds of Egyptians who sea’s the Copts cause is an Egyptian cause that concerns everyone not only the Copts. Hany’s tragedy starts when a novel comes out by Yousef Zeedan called TYES AZAZEEL , this novel is one the hundreds of the writings and novels that attacks the Christian faith, the Coptic church contested the novel and many free thinkers on both sides Muslims and Christians but in spite of that the novel came out claiming freedom of speech.
Claiming freedom of speech also a Coptic writer by the name of Father Youta published on the net a novel by the same name attacking Islam in response , but what is Hani have to do with this matter? All of his writing are about what problems his people are having and trying to help them out ,so some reporters from a news paper called “ NEWSWEEK in which it is known for hating Copts ,those spread gossip among the residents of AL-AELA town that Hany is the writer of the AZAZEEL novel , so the youth of the town gathered to go terrorize Hani , that made him leave his home to escape the terror , after his escape , the reporters went to the police and filed a complain against him , after that the police went to Hany’s home and arrested his two brothers , when Hani heard about the arrest of his two brothers he gave himself up to the police in order to free his brothers after they kept them five days and tortured them.
Hany has nothing to do with that novel or with Father Youta whom still writing on the internet , Father Youta is a nick name for a person most likely lives outside Egypt , what does Hany have to do with Youta, how is he jailed for a crime he didn’t comet and he is being treated as a criminal , how can he be arrested for something he didn’t write when the writer Zeedan is free and sleep comfortably in his house among his family.
I am for one will use my pen in defense of the injustice and persecution that is done to Hani and I declare his cause is mine and I will not rest until he is free .
I am counting on the freedom fighters to help me, I am calling on all the writers and blogger’s to help Hany, today is Hani but maybe tomorrow are you in his place.
I am calling on people in charge in Naja Hamadi to release Hani and keep him safe from the terrorist‘s, we will hold you responsible for his life and any harm could happen to him.
We will translate and publish this in as many languages and send it to the media to let the world see to what extent the injustice and persecution to the Copt’s and their writers and freethinkers in their country Egypt.
I wish people in authority would use wisdom in resolving this matter in a speedy way so that we can close this file.
